Mother’s Day with Lily<3

Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful moms out there! I just had THE BEST Mother’s Day. I hope y’all did too.

It was such a great day for so many reasons.

It started with Tyler (I swear I’ll be introducing him on here soon…once he lets me) making breakfast for he, Lily, and I. They surprised me with beautiful flowers, my favourite drink from Starbucks, and some AMAZING chocolates.

We all went to the park and just got to be kids for the afternoon. I don’t think I lifted a finger all day otherwise. Seriously. I was pampered and treated like such a princess.

Every Mother’s Day I’ve had has obviously been beyond special, but this year was a little extra because Lily is getting to an age now where we can do so many more things together. Because Tyler was working nights, I planned a girls night for Lily and I.

psst.. Check out how GORGEOUS those flowers are! Thanks little family of mine!

<3

Lily and I went for a lovely evening walk. Ate some mac & cheese and a dessert that I let her pick out. And then we had a little spa night. Seriously, seeing a two year old do all these girly/pampery things is just the cutest!

I ran her a bubble bath and the bubbles were a little overwhelming for her. She doesn’t get them very often because she gets eczema. She honestly probably doesn’t remember the last bubble bath she had. She thought she could eat the bubbles. It backfired.

And then I painted her nails! For the first time! I asked her to pick a colour and she said she wanted white (that’s what I always paint my nails. Heart. Melt.) Have any of you tried this GEL polish from Sally Hansen? It really works! And goes on so well. We went with “Creme de la Creme”.

She did pretty good. She moved around a bit, but I’d say only 4 of her nails got smudged. Not bad for a 2 year old. And for the rest of the night was walking around with her fingers spread, sure to not touch anything. AH! Too freaking cute!

We cuddled up on the couch under our big furry blankets and watched her shows. I made a strawberry rhubarb cocktail (a little something I’ve been working on to share with you guys. Keep an eye out. I’ll be posting the recipe soon!) and she had her apple juice in a matching coupe glass.  Everything tastes better in a coupe glass 😉

I hope everyone else had a great day! I’ve never been more proud of anything than I am of being a mom. <3
