Vegan Cold Brew Smoothie

Skip the Drive Thru! – Vegan Protein Cold Brew Smoothie

Vegan Cold Brew Smoothie

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…. No matter how long it’s been since I’ve finished school, the start of September always signals a new year for me. It’s like a little pre-new year, new year. All of a sudden I feel the need to be responsible and shit.

And by responsible, I mostly mean going to bed earlier and waking up early to start my day off right. Early rise, read a little, a little workout with Bailey Brown, tons of water, and getting right into a productive day.

I recently did a poll on Instagram asking you guys if you’d like to see more cocktails or smoothies. And surprisingly, majority voted smoothies. (Although, it was very very close) But this was PERECT because lately, I’ve been making this cold brew smoothie (for, you know, when you can’t decide if you want to start your day with a coffee or something a little heavier to keep you full) And I’ve been DYING to share it with you

Vegan Cold Brew Smoothie

You’re gonna love this!

Not gonna lie, I was feeling a little inspired by the new blended cold brews at Starbucks. The almond one is amazing! But, they’re like, almost $7 and I love knowing EXACTLY what I’m putting in my food/drinks.

And like I said earlier, sometimes you just can’t decided between a coffee to get you going or something with a little more substance to keep you full. This one contains healthy fats and protein to keep you full and if you really wanted, you could throw in a tbsp of chia seeds for a little added fibre. (you know, to keep in line with the #Fab4 principles)

Here you go!

Vegan Cold Brew Smoothie

1 1/2 cups cold brew
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 scoop plant based protein powder
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp almond butter
Small splash vanilla extract (or any sweetener of choice)

Simply throw everything in a blender and enjoy!

The cold brew I’ve been using is the Compliment’s brand from Sobey’s. Honestly, I only bought it originally because the carton has cute animals in sunglasses and scarves and stuff. But it’s actually delicious! If you’re near a Sobey’s, I highly recommend it. Otherwise, leave your fave cold brew brand in the comments below!! Mwah!
